Exposed to the Spiritual Elements

The Bible says we are seated in Heavenly places spiritually in some mysterious way.
I understand this just in the same way that data can live on a computer far away yet it gets populated on my device.
So our spirit is far away in heaven but it populates our body down here so to speak. I see it kind of like that.
So then the thing is down here on this Earth, the devil, the world, sinful people, and yes, even our own sinful flesh, make it a hard place to live in.
I think God showed me that it's just natural that we are going to get exposed to the elements of this world and it's not always going to make us feel good. Jesus said we would have troubles in this life but that we should be of good cheer because He overcame the world, and can thus overcome the world in our lives too.
So imagine you're in winter. It's always super cold outside. And you've got to warm up. But we're talking spiritually. So you have to pray and sing and fellowship with other believers to warm your spirit up inside to be able to overcome the cold so to speak spiritually.

Heaven on my Mind

There's a new song out - Heaven on my Mind - by Toby Mac feat. the new popular artist Forrest Frank.
Thoughts -- we down here on earth think of heaven as some strange, misty, mysterious, or maybe even boring place.
But imagine those who are already there with God, in His presence.
The bible is actually pretty limited in what it says about heaven, but I just imagine that people who have finished their race and passed on have found a BRIGHTER more SOLID, more INTERESTING, more enjoyable (obviously) place there! Not naked babies strumming harps on clouds.
Anyway, just a thought. Don't cling to this world too much.
And definitely, hope in the New Earth as well - physical with resurrected bodies, living lives of rapture and joy with purpose, and cities, and glory, and business, and all the rest!
And most importantly, pray to experience the haven of heaven NOW already in your heart in this earth in this life - the LOVE, the JOY, the PEACE!!!
